Benkay Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar periodically holds special dining events for our guests. They range from Tokyo Nights or Sake Tastings to more frequent special menu choices.  With the launch of our new website we plan to post those events as well as our special menu item offers as they become available.Â

 This week we have launched our new website!  Our goal with the new site is to bring a fresh clean look to Benkay Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar online, but that is only the beginning. With our new architecture we can easily publish specials, updates, and announcements so that you - our customers - can have the latest scoop on what is going on at Benkay. | An introduction to how traditional sushi is prepared and served in Tokyo, Japan. Your four course dinner will be prepared by Chef Ando in the traditional style, with special fish shipped to us from Japan. Nigiri sushi (fish on ball of rice) was created 250 years ago in Edo (Now Tokyo) by Yohei Hanaya. This sushi was called Edo Mae, after the Edo Bay where the fish were caught. The fee is $50.00 per person. Space is limited. For reservations, please call 207.773.5555. |
| February 11th - 16th, 2008: Romantic Dinners for Two for $55. | | Romantic Dinners for Two are a special way you can celebrate Valentine's Day at Benkay. Each dinner includes one (1) drink per person from a selection of Sake (small), Beer (12 oz), or Wine (glass). For the first course you will be treated with specially prepared seaweed salad, squid salad, shrimp & vegetable tempura, and tofu or pork gyoza. The main dish consists of a selection of sushi, sashimi, and rolls: - Sushi: Tuna, Salmon, Yellow Tail, Shrimp, Eel, and Flounder.
- Sashimi: Tuna , Salmon, and Yellow Tail
- Rolls:Â Choice of any two (2) rolls from the regular menu.

Bring your whole family to celebrate this important day and enjoy our specially prepared assortment of dinner items that include: Miso Soup, Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura, Sushi, Grilled Fish, Yakitori, Shumai, Avocado Salad, Seaweed Salad, Fruit, and Manju Japanese Pastry.
